As a fully trained Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with 15 years experience, Dr Mackay is an expert in assessing scarring and disfigurement and conditions and injuries of the hand.  Dr Mackay has specialised training in conditions of the hand. Combining his fellowship, this focused specialisation has made him a notable authority in both surgical and non-surgical interventions for hand injuries.

In respect to scarring and disfigurement, Dr Mackay demonstrates a comprehensive and empathetic approach during his assessments with a deep understanding of the psychological and physical impacts.  Dr Mackay employs a meticulous understanding of GEPI and considers both the aesthetic and functional consequences of skin injuries and applies the guide appropriately.
